Truckers On The Offensive #019 - F'em Factor

Worker's comp is the only insurance policy where the underwriter's debit or credit is out in the open.

Policy Worksheet From A Trucking Company

The policy/quote worksheet tells all…

The underwriter has 100% control over the schedule rating. In most states, they can give up to a 25% credit or debit.

When a company is doing a great job, has below-average claims (under a 1.00 MOD), but is being charged a schedule debit, I call this the F’em Factor.

I encourage you to review your policy.

Workers comp and your mod is just a big math problem

If interested, we can do a full review of your program and answer the following questions:

  • Am I getting the F’em factor?

  • What is the minimum mod our company can achieve?

  • How does any particular claim impact our mod?

  • How do we get a 70% discount on claims?

  • How do my rates per $100 in remuneration compare to others?

  • Is our company making the most of our recovery at work program?

  • What will our upcoming mod be?

  • Could our company direct employees to an occupational medical clinic and gain more control over the claims process?

  • Would our company benefit from having a nurse triage service available?
